KEPAKY, as an independent volunteer group, has the ability to be at the forefront and respond immediately to various current global issues, offering support to people in need, regardless of nationality. Specifically, KEPAKY provides support to refugees and victims of war, by creating emergency language-learning programs in Greek and English, both in-person and online.

Since the outbreak of the war in Ukraine in 2022, KEPAKY mobilized immediately, supporting Ukrainian refugees who arrived in Cyprus by providing food and clothing on a monthly basis to their families.

We further enhanced our support by establishing a kindergarten and an all-day elementary school in Ayia Napa for refugee children, enabling their parents to work. Currently, about 20 Ukrainian refugee children attend the kindergarten, and around 36 children attend the all-day primary school. KEPAKY fully covers all operational costs of both the kindergarten and the school.

As part of our ongoing solidarity with Ukrainian refugees, KEPAKY also extends the operation of the kindergarten during the summer months and runs a summer school for primary school children, ensuring that guardians can continue working while their children are engaged in structured activities.
